FINE FRAMED PORTRAIT PAINTING ON IVORY
Description:
This is a very nice late 19th century to early 20th century ivory portrait miniature. It is entirely painted by hand and set in to an elaborate ivory & shell frame. It is all original, even paper backed and unopened. We believe it is French in origin. It is artist signed, appears to be Dalfinger or something similar. The colors and detail of the painting are exquisite, a very fine example for that period. It is cased in glass with an ornate brass bezel.

The frame measures 4.5 inches by 5.25 inches.

Condition:
The frame is in very good condition with only a few little hairlines in the old ivory which was made from Victorian piano keys. The portrait is in pristine condition with no hairlines or water damage.
